Despite that, I've been sitting on this non-functioning machine for almost 3 years, unable to find someone who is willing to take a look at it, and I'm committed to get it running again. I understand it may need new capacitors, resistors, etc but being 23 years old, I'm inexperienced in reading schematics, and the colors of the wiring seem to have all faded to a light brown color which make it more difficult for a novice to attempt. I have photos of a two-page schematic from an early schematics volume that look very close, or at the worst, similar to this radio/phonograph combination. I'm hopping on this forum to hopefully gain some information or leads for people who are familiar with early phonograph radio consoles like this and would be interested in helping me get my machine working. It has obviously been spliced/tampered with, but I believe the machine to be complete with all of its components. The phonograph is also electrically amplified and driven. It is electrically amplified with a "Rola" speaker (which needs to be re-coned) and a radio chassis made by Western Auto Supply Co. It resembles a Panatrope but the model badge simply says "Model S", which comes up in old advertisements as the Stratford. Payment must be made through PayPal which accepts credit cards Please visit my store which shortly will be offering vintage radios and a pristine Victrola XV1.Hi! I've purchased a Brunswick phonograph. The buyer will have to make arrangements for packing and shipping, although pick-up in Prescott, AZ is welcome. I believe the opening bid on this near pristine machine reflects its rarity and especially its condition. The machine hasn't been serviced in years, but plays well. A copy (I don't have the original) of the operating and maintenance booklet is also provided. 100 numbered record dividers apparently unused were found in drawer #5. The machine plays correctly on all three reproducer positions. The felt is original and in perfect condition. The Brunswick reproducer does a rather good job with the later electric records, too. The grill cloth, while deteriorating, is original. The cabinet is original finish quarter-saw oak. As can be viewed by the photographs it is in incredible condition. BRUNSWICK PHONOGRAPH MODEL 117 w/ Ultona 3-position head I have owned this beautiful machine for over 30 years and believe I am the third owner (the second being a picker).
